Ingredients

  • 12 ounces Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with 4 tablespoons of olive oil, maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, smoked paprika, and sea salt until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the seasoned sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  4. Roast for 20 to 25 minutes, tossing halfway through, until the sprouts are tender and caramelized.
  5. While the sprouts roast, gently heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
